About Clip'n'Chip
Let me introduce myself: I am the owner of Clip’n’chip Dog Grooming. Since September 2005, my daughter Sam and I have been the driving force behind this business, initially operating from our home. Our journey began after both of us achieved success with the City and Guilds Level 3 Advanced Dog Grooming certification, mastering the specified breed practical dog grooming exams, leading to our comprehensive certificates.
Alongside my grooming qualifications, I proudly hold a Microchipping certification, strictly following veterinarian guidelines. This service aligns seamlessly with our commitment to fulfil animals’ grooming needs.
My diverse background spans showcasing dogs at Crufts and part-time teaching of City and Guilds dog grooming and animal welfare at Kingston Maurward College. Additionally, I teach home grooming techniques and conduct courses directly from our salon. At Clip’n’chip, our passion for pet care drives us, and we’re dedicated to providing top-notch services to you and your furry companions.
Meet The Team
Jacqui and Gerry (aka Santa)
Hi. I’m pictured here again with my husband Gerry, who also goes by the name of Santa.
He supports me and my team by doing all the maintenance jobs, and critically now, helping us behind the scenes with the extra Covid-19 deep cleaning routines. He also keeps us refreshed with teas and coffees on busy days.
Dogs adore him, so when the need arises to assist, he has a calming effect on the more nervous ones, who welcome a hug, cuddle and a little bit more reassurance, when having their nails cut.
Sam (with Honey and Minnie)
Hi, I’m Jacqui’s daughter Sam. I’ve worked with mum since the beginning but I now only work part-time due to my boys being at school. These are two of my own dogs. I took a dog, Izzy, from a customer who found her too much as a puppy but she is elderly now. I just love them all.
I also offer a further bespoke grooming service in Muscliffe, from home for anyone living in the Bournemouth area. This can be booked via the salon if required.
Lauren with Loki
Hi, I’m Lauren. I work full-time as a senior groomer, and this is my Cockerpoo dog ‘Loki’. He can often be seen in the salon on a day-to-day basis and loves to play with all the fluffy customers.
I am animal mad with 2 horses, a Golden Labrador ‘Lara‘ and a giant tortoise ‘Sydney’.
Be careful I love everyone that comes in to see us and cuddles are obligatory.
Maisie
Hi, I’m Maisie. I’m the newest staff member here at Clip’n’chip but have been grooming for the last 3 years.
I’ve been long-term friends with Lauren as I too have a horse but also have cats.
Joining Clip’n’chip means we can talk horses and dogs all day as well as furthering my training to a recognised qualification.
Please note all Clip'n'Chip staff are qualified and our newest trainees who bath and dry the dogs are all studying animal based courses where we believe working towards a qualification is paramount.
